The Buzz: Rest easy, Dazed and Confused fans: The ’80s are just as much fun. While Richard Linklater’s latest coming-of-age comedy isn’t technically a sequel to his incredibly popular 1993 classic, Everybody Wants Some!! looks to be a film very much in the same vein, this time set on a college campus during the Reagan era. The story follows a group of college baseball players, led by Blake Jenner, Tyler Hoechlin, and Ryan Guzman among others, as they feel their oats as young though not-quite-there adults. If Linklater’s previous work is any indication, viewers should settle in for some sensitive storytelling, round and relatable characters, and a celebration of youth. – Bret
